broken girl

broken girl

A Poem by Hannah Paige

She was the sort of girl who was always in love
always preoccupied with this boy or that
always in love with a thing or a place
enamored of trees, mountains, overalls, the color green
she captioned every picture with a soliloquy
about joy or sadness or sunshine or birds
everything to her could be poetry
she loved Poe and Dickenson
and approached life like a classic artwork
but as with so many masterpieces
she was embossed in tragedy

she ran too fast not to fall
fell too hard not to break.

It's a story of one girl - the gone - one broken girl that's well and evocatively captured in words. Very nicely and thoughtfully pen'd up. It portraying that how one may not live without love but also how the heart neither escape the realism of aches .. kinda deep. Nice shot!
