I Have Won

I Have Won

A Poem by Hidden Happiness
"

It's time to forget the pain and be confident!

"
Here I am, walking free
The chains in my hands and legs
That held me locked for so long
That were once so strong
And now they are all gone
And I can finally believe.

Now I look back at the times I locked myself in the bedroom
My eyes were full of tears, oh, but I never showed
I persevered
And I still remember the torment, the pain
Of seeing my efforts go in vain
Of seeing my loved ones make fun of me
From that little room, I wanted to flee
So bad, oh so bad.

Now here I am, standing with my head held high
When all you can do is stand back and sigh
In frustration and watch them angels put the crown on my head
And as I sit on the coveted throne
You will have to pay, oh you must pay all your loans
The years of happiness you snatched from me
And yes, I can now finally believe
I have won.

                      :)

I agree with this statement completely and like the way you worded it "As i sit on my coveted throne". Love the meaning!
