Sun and Moon

Sun and Moon

A Poem by Havatara

Sun and Moon

The sun shines bright through all our years of life,

with rays of light through all our dreary days.

The golden light of Rome was never bright

compared to love so true that never sways.

If all of Rome was built in one true love,

then thousands could be built and not so free

as love and life with you, my pretty dove,

my Circe sent to cast a spell on me.

The sun and moon do live in one true song

as day and night do run so swift in time.

They dance and sing, and right that which is wrong.

As do our hearts, which finish our own rhyme.

Our love so strong was built not in a day,

but in a life, my little starlit ray.
