Just writing about my experiences while finding my poetic voice - these are today's experiences!

I can’t get this blessed site to work right 

It really does my head in!

I wrote a poem into the night

Then it wouldn’t save my pastin’

I don't understand this blessed site

There must be instructions somewhere.

I click around, that can’t be right!

Only advertising links or spyware

I cannot work out this blessed web cue

I want to praise your poem

I wrote a review and it turned out two

Right that’s it, I’m going

I’m frustrated as hell with this blessed web page

It’s logged me off again

Signing back in takes an age

And it’s a right f@*king pain

I cannot work out this blessed portal

My poem’s gone with words profound

They would have made me immortal

You have to admit it confounds

One of the things I struggle with most 

Is the ‘Discover’ button

I’d like to read more, to get more posts

But it stopped working all of a sudden

I really don't know why there’s points

And the review range is too big, largely

Leaves me unsure what to appoint

Despite it all, I do love this site

And really, I have only just started

The people on it treat you right

Welcoming and warm-hearted

I really like this blessed site

With all its imperfections

One thing I’ll say quite outright 

Is it’s great for making connections

I keep coming back to this blessed site

It’s got so many attractions

I love that it stores my book and poetry right

In categories, all in sections

Creating again on this blessed site

Adding pictures to all of my writing

Taking the time to find one that’s just right

Philosophical and with good lighting

I spend my free time in this blessed forum

Trying to catch up with my reading

Your poems and prose are just awesome

And your feedback tips I’m conceding

I’m here again, on my laptop or phone

Back in the Writer’sCafe

Nighttime effects of the melatone

Since I seem to have been here all day

All things considered, this blessed site

Is a gift of the modern age

And while its functionality is not airtight

Glitches may be over-use of the page

I love that this site exists

As an outlet for creative expression

Part of me thinks I should therefore desist

From making this criticism

But you might just admit, 

While the site’s really great

You might just agree, just a little wee bit

About all the things that I hate

The above lines made me laugh! And I believe you should really put that review in the author's note, instead of in the review section in case you get too many reviews on it and it gets lost in the review thread!!! :)
The way to do that, would be to go to "Manage Writing" and then click the little pencil next to this poem and copy and paste that review into your Author's note and then save your edit! :) I hope that works for you!!!

I really enjoyed this read, it was so captivating, I usually won't read poems of this length, but I just couldn't stop, it was that good!

I hope all you put in the "read more" was your name, Ms. Helen!! Wc's been a real b*tch lately when it comes to the "read more" part of someone's comment. It literally won't let you read more. It will just eat your words sometimes (That's why you never EVER put an open parenthesis and a < arrow because it will EAT YOUR WORDS) I have to copy my comments for reviews because I'm always scared it's going to eat them! I hope you enjoy the wc!! It's only been three weeks for me and I'm loving every second of it!! :)))

i haven't read it all - i didn't need to - i left this site because of similar probs and left the site owners/moderator a stiff note - then i got to thinking - it is a business - and, as such it would have bean counters
( face in front of screens for the adverts?) and came back a couple of days ago - and lo' and behold - the place works!
I can't take credit, of course, other complaints must've been taken into account.

I felt disloyal writing a poem about the issues because the site does offer so much, but the first time I got a message saying my account had been banned I really believed I had done something wrong! Thank you for your comment - It is encouraging to know it is no just me!

'' banned '' that word, on mine - as on yours - it created an awful feeling - at times i was on the point of tears.

I loved this poem and while I agree with you about the glitches here, I'll encourage you to persevere here as this site can be very rewarding in many ways. The is a fabulous place for sharing poetry and improving ourselves plus we make great friends here and I have met some people who will always be a part of my life. Welcome to the cafe and you write such lovely poetry. It will be a pleasure to keep reading your writing.

Yes I'm well. Will be off for my walk soon too. I know Willen Lake well, used to go there when my children were small and have cycled to it and round it with my partner more lately. And have also been to some sort of festival at the Peace Pagoda there as well (I can't remember what it was, but remember there was delicious food involved!). And the peace-commemorating cherry trees. Milton Keynes is a surprisingly spiritual place given its deliberate construction as a new city. I think it would be a good place to live, lots of green and open spaces - but mainly (for me) because it has miles of cycle ways!

Aye, the red ways are good for segregating cyclists from traffic but are littered with glass, tis puncture heaven :))
