Celebrate Moments

Celebrate Moments

A Poem by Helena
"

'It's best to try and live in the moment.'

"

Celebrate those moments,
moments that give you joy
an aha moment when a word can
change the meaning of a poem

when a chrysalis transforms into
a butterfly, a moment to enthral
when you swear you see a fairy wing

dancing in the wind and a sunflower

opening to the morning sun,
the joy that it can bring
a spider's web of jewelled patterns
glistening in the spring rain

flickering sunbeams dancing on leaves,
perfume of lavender lingering in the air
in a carpet of purple sea
All this for free!

yes, actually there is nothing more beautiful than a spider web of jeweled patterns...and all that beauty is just given to us...we pay nothing and it is all priceless.
In this world of capitalism, we fail to see what we can see and enjoy for free.

I agree my dear friend.
"flickering sunbeams dancing on leaves,
perfume of lavender lingering in the air
in a carpet of purple sea
All this for free!"
I loved the above lines. So much to see and most cost little. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.

These are truly moments to savour and appreciate. These are words of inspiration. :) Thank you for sharing those thoughts with us.
Personally, I hope that people will awaken to the realism of 'now' following on from the realism of pandemics. Just as stopping to meditate brings positive results, being 'forced' to stop the former lifestyle and find new ways will bring new understandings that include appreciation for what Nature gives for free. Your poem brings this to the attention of the reader in a charming manner.
