Storm Clouds

Storm Clouds

A Poem by Helena

Storm Clouds

Storm clouds are gathering
shivering
I close the window
on my comfort zone
chilling my psyche to
the bone.

watching silent movies
I smooth my dishevelled hair
stir my coffee now cold
as my heart watching the
approaching
storm.

the oceans swell not with love
but aching disappointment
as they crash over the
unforgiving shoreline.

The lighting, disturbing and flashing
electric emotions with the roar of
bellowing thunder.

The storm goddesses are angry
I am beyond caring,
let them fight amongst themselves
I'm ready to face the storm.~

When you are ready to face the storm, the battle is half won. Descriptive and emotive poetry here. Nicely penned.
