Sweet Breeze

Sweet Breeze

A Poem by Helena

Sweet Breeze

whisper to me a poem
penned by my poet's gentle
hand his lyrics forming
the very page of
sonnets sentimental song
I hang on every word of love
dipped in dewy tears of dawn
sweep across the ocean his kisses
from lips whence he touched
my soul with lilting prose
penned under moonlight's
sweet repose
do not dim this candle I hold
forsake me not my sweet
messenger
have mercy in your fanciful
flight to see this woman's desire
to hear her poet's words of
undying love
brush the air with
mingnon metaphors
spectacular stanzas and
alliterations
wherein he doth sit in
complete composure
sure that he is mine ~

When I read these beautiful words, I was reminded of John Keats and Fanny, his love interest. He died so young but not before making a huge mark in the field of classical poetry. Your posted image is straight from that era. I have been to Keats House in Hampstead, London. So very enthralling. I enjoyed where you took me.

'.. to hear her poet's words of.. undying love.. brush the air with.. mingnon metaphors.. spectacular..
stanzas and.. alliterations.. wherein he doth sit in.. complete composure.. sure that he is mine ~

Those words and what came before is true poetry and the way in which it shows the elegance of passion is quite extraordinary.. Beautiful, captivating - and perhaps, more worthy of keeping than shades of whatever!

A wonderful and beautiful poem shared dear Helena.
"I hang on every word of love
dipped in dewy tears of dawn
sweep across the ocean his kisses
from lips whence he touched"
I love the above lines, like a Donne sonnet. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.

a love comprised completely of alliterative metaphors, sizzling sonnets, ornate odes...blistering
through nights of purple passion...of pliant purpose...as two hearts gather
in protest of all that is happening around them...and shelter themselves, just the two...
holding fast to one another.
