Desert Wasteland

Desert Wasteland

A Poem by Rachelle Tudor
"

My thoughts on my recent move to Twentynine Palms, CA in the Mojave desert....

"
Trading my life in a land of green for one of nothing but tan,
What I would give now that I am here to rid my self of the sand,
The wind picks up the earth it moves,
and everywhere it goes.
What I would give
to yet again live in a greener land,
No one will ever know.

A sudden shift to the dryness of a desert from a fresh green place can be drastic for some, while enjoyable to some. Your poem speaks of the first and speaks of it in a beautiful way. An enjoyable read...short and sweet:-):-):-D.
