Morning's Best

Morning's Best

A Poem by Henry Clemmons

First kiss of morning:

Blinds drawn,
                    doors closed,

Coffee machine,
                        waits.

Night clothes,
                     scattered.

Skin,
       red quilt warm.

Lips soft,
              slightly swollen.

Tan lines sharp,
                       coconut scent .

Blue eyes blink slowly,
                                   ocean shallows,
                                                           r i p p l e (less).

Lone blonde curl,
                           misplaced.

Whispered smile,
                           flavors sweet,
         breath.

First kiss of morning.

Wonderful, passionate, subtle, memorable. Love the touch of the words, the format's near edible and the pic's serpentine movement is extraordinary.
'Whispered smile, ~ flavors sweet, ~ breath. ~ First kiss of morning.'
