Period

It twists 'n' turns,
It gurgles and churns,
Slowly squeezes blood--

As I writhe and turn,
Scream and yearn,
That it'd rather be a flood.

For I could bear a lethal stab,
Just not this torturous gash
That the Lord chose to grace
'Pon me, my spirit for it to dash.
