Struck Phase 6 and 7

Struck Phase 6 and 7

A Poem by Herzeleid

Two phases of Struck that I would like some strong critique and opinions on.

Phase 6

Do you know how I feel? you?

You say there is

no warmth,

no love.

I say

the soft spot

in my soul

where you once dwelt

is now vacant.

My anger

towards you is

It allows

me to stand.

To stumble.

To climb.

To fight.

Phase 7

And I will fight.

The cold pavement,

now beaneath my bare feet.

I can stand.

I can walk.

And because of this,

I can move on.

I chase cars in the

Their bright lights

dashing back and forth

blind me but then

Maybe one will stop.

Maybe one will show me kindness

in an unkind world.

These two parts of Struck I have not chosen to make part of the full series. Just tell me what you think :)
