the tunnel

the tunnel

A Poem by Hester Grey

Like two trains passing
each other in a tunnel
the windows lighted from within
illuminated faces flashing by
the rattling lasts but a short minute
the shaking of the cars less than a second
and you are left alone
going fast
into the endless dark

Hester Grey,

I enjoyed this write, it was short and quick, yet had so many great points to be appreciated. Great descriptive words and sentences, maybe one or two too many conjunctions, but hey, great write.

The two trains - symbolic of people in their daily activities - indeed this is how our lives sadly exist.

Creative and energetic...

Great job,

Ever wander the subways above ground... the sidewalks where each person is so enwrapped they each are a subway car going elsewhere than anyone else?
