A Poem That Came to Mind

I had to write a poem for my creative writing class and i was in one of my certain moods.

Hold me close, please don’t let me go,

Feeling lost no longer at home,

Hurting inside tears wet in my eyes,

No longer feeling calling for help,

Hoping for someone to hear,

Some say i’m crazy, others say i’m overreacting,

Being forced to speak, tell how i feel,

Don’t need help, leave me be,

My heart is sad, my mind's on freeze,

Can no longer speak, no longer breathe,

Wish to be like others who laugh and sing,

Be like the other girls who know how to be free,

Yet here i sit crying, trying to let go,

A cry could be heard, screaming to be let out,

No friends or family around to give the poor girl help,,

Steal a heart from another, so i could finally hear the beat,

Steal a life to try and be happy,

To be like other girls who laugh and sing,

I now know how to be free,

I can now breathe.
