My older brother's best friend began my depression. This poem is about him.

You thought your rejection wouldn't hurt me.
You expected me to forget you overtime.
Each time you lie and make me cry,
I've lost faith in you.

You've stopped visiting us at HB,
You no longer have power over me.
Your promises come pre-broken in their packages.
Your compliments come smeared with white lies.

You told your friends about that day I gave you my heart.
Saying "Had an episode with Matt's little sis,"
It meant nothing to you.
I had to lie through my teeth and forgive you.
Because I know you wouldn't care if I didn't.

2 long years since all this began.
Two years of shielding my heart.
Two years since the event that caused anxiety.
2 years, and now it's all done.

One day since I thought of you again.
One day since I felt the rip in my heart open up.
It's still there,
It will never repair,
'Cause you aren't sorry for what you did.

I've been the the victim of a heartbreak many times Hikari. They've handled my heart like it was a hot potato dropping it with no regard for how it made me feel. There will be a day when you meet a man that will give you the genuine love you deserve, I know I'm still waiting on woman to treat me right. An excellent poem that I can relate to Hikari!
