Forever summer

13/08/21...Our dear friend Deb passed, the most bright and beautiful lady...forever summer in our hearts.

She left whilst pastel colours reigned
before autumn made it's bow,
to rest in peace beyond this world
in the heavens an angel now.
And with her went the summer sun
blue skies turned grey as lead,
a silence came upon the birds
each flower bowed its head,
a gentle breeze it stirred the air
and sorrowfully said
"still every hand on every clock
for she's gone, she's gone, she's dead..."

My wife was knocked by a car and really smashed up. That night I realised how empty life would be without her so I really sympathise with you. I've already put a poem on that I wrote about it. It's called 'The day the earth stood still'
