Inside My Head

Inside My Head

A Poem by HopeForTomorrow

Inside my head I like to wander
Where no one else can go
I close my eyes and start to dream
Then quietly take a stroll.
Those who judge me disappear
The darkness goes away
Alone with only myself and I
That's how I like to spend my days.
The anger and horrors disappear
I can finally be content.
In my little world I am free
Free from those I resent.
Free from their unneeded opinions and endless lies
Constantly breaking me down.
Only in my head do I not have to run
From those who like to break me for fun.
Inside my head I like to wander
Where no one else can go
Inside my head I keep my secrets
That no one else can know.
Like the fact that I am broken
Shattered from inside,
I keep it hidden in my head
That I'm really dying inside.
