Universal Perspective

I had a friend of mine having a bad day. So, I wrote this poem to help. It depicts when I see when I meditate, my goal is to put the universe in perspective.

Eyes closed

Weightless.

Cold.

Eyes open.

Gently floating,

Surrounded by stars.

In your eyes…

Imposing

Massive

This galaxy.

Gas and stardust

Spinning in unison

A bonded cosmos.

From the heart,

A bright light

Brings your soul to life

We are the universe,

The universe is us.

For as long as it thrives, so shall we
