Will I see you again?

Will I ever see him again? Who knows...

 

A long time ago,

I met you.

You were a boy,

and I am a girl.

We got along well.

I liked you,

but you had mixed feelings.

I wanted to be with you...

But you said you couldn't.

You said it was hopless.

We could never,

be anything but friends.

I tried to pursuade you,

to want to be with me.

And you did.

But you said that you couldn't.

So the years passed.

I got older.

I got wiser.

But you remained the same.

I never spoke to you again.

and now,

I'm growing up.

I realize now,

that us being together,

would only end in heart break.

So thank you,

for warning me.

And thank you,

for being a friend.

even though its not about you its still good and well expressed. i think it shows that people dont always get to be with who they want and may never be more than friends but it all works out for the better in the end. that way like you said that would "only end in a heart break", no hearts are broken and no friends are lost. love this poem
