Avalanche

Avalanche

A Poem by Jami Nicole

My head is saying no

But my heart just can't agree

I think it's my time to go,

These nightmares are killing me,

I always scream in my sleep

And the words are not so clear.

You tell me to let it all go

But I can't, it'll always be here.

I'm still not sure what's wrong with me.

Please don't let me fall,

Don't let me go down with my avalanche.

I'm already in too deep

And there's no helping me.

No, there's no helping me.

I don't know how to set myself free.

I'm falling fast

And I can't wake up.

This is a very interesting piece of work. Honest. It's short. But after the word avalanche, it gets confusing. Maybe that's a literary comparison to how you feel. I think you can easily explain how you feel in the way you write.
