Color of Sky

Color of Sky

A Poem by Relic

In one hour
long streaks of orange
will embrace the red
which will embrace the blue
as the multicolored sky
departs through the door of darkness
waving goodbye
and goodnight.

A lovely sunset you depict but the first four lines I could not help see the imagery of bush fires which scare us each and every summer.

Ah, I imagine that would. They might feel the same in California. Often people see what I don't.
Oooh, wish I'd written that! We've been staying on the Oregon coast for nearly a month, and have been witnesses to such sunsets. Beautiful ode to a beautiful sight, leading us to a very good night.

Thanks, Pete.
Beautifully worded sunset. What a skyscape Tim. Perfectly penned. All good wishes.

A kaleidoscopic end to the day....a painted scene that I seem to see most evenings when I depart for home after another long day. The melding of colours into darkness is a lovely sight to behold and you described the visual well here. 💛

You're lucky, all I saw was clouds all day. :( Thanks for the read.
funnily enough, we watched that very sky tonight in the cold
So beautiful

I wish I could have been there. Thanks.
Always strange watching the sun go down, it's as if we become part of a different species, the night people.
Some go for night some go for day. Colour is so important to humans, especially in well-being and mood.
I do like black though, but that might be because it calms me.
