She Called Him Pluto: The Meaningful Chemical

She Called Him Pluto: The Meaningful Chemical

A Poem by Hurdy

It was a psychic conflict,
An unconscious dilemma.
I knew a million methods, but among these,
was not how to be one of them.
I have become polarized,
caught in between two axes,
the negative infection,
and in her affliction,
the positive affection.

And where have I found myself
On the spectrum?
Do I hover now, above the equation?
Or am I settled meekly, upon the words and sayings of a poet?

The infatuation of her fingers,
the static of a molecular connection,
in her eyes,
A most fascinating technology.
A simple gaze electrifies my world into white,
to be colored by the breath of a human soul.

And when I feel the touch,
Of such a primordial skin,
Of a religious animal
The meaningful chemical
I am caught adrift the free energy
of a very foreign existence.

To transcend backward, she unwound the wire.
I was sent into supernova, where finally
I met death, I met him.
The beast she had always most feared,
The one who loved her, from whose cage I could never escape.

I am alien.

Here I am.

Here I am, the breathing dichotomy,
A living, truthful contradiction,
longing once again, as these haunting eyes close,
for the warm blood of an animal,
who from the very beginning,
I should have instead come to hate.

I am alien.

Here I am.

I don't have a clue who I am anymore. I got lost in the music. I'm back now, because I remember being here is where I felt the most seen. That's all I have to say for now. more..
