Strangers to peace.

Strangers to peace.

A Poem by Huw

Having been a life long drunk

a stranger to dignity

of no reputation

A man whose children

could not and would not

ask him for guidance.

He believed people

were laughing with him

when in fact they laughed at him

Encouraged by female laughter

his stupidity increased by volume

as well as content.

Among men he was known

as unreliable and indolent

His demise was not mourned

with any sense of dignity

It was celebrated

with blatant stupidity

wilful ignorance and drunkenness.

A man who is void of wisdom

sobriety and dignity in life

will likewise be acknowledged in death.

Only those that live in peace will RIP

and it's blatantly obvious

such men are strangers to peace.

About
I've been commenting on someone's drawings for a couple of months and she asked if I was a published poet. It made me laugh because I'd left school at 13 years old and never completed formal education.. more..
