Going Once, Going Twice

Going Once, Going Twice

A Poem by life in a ne/on tube
"

GONE!

"

You begged me once

You begged me twice

It really is no use

I've paid my price

I gave you second chances

Went out of my way

But you're just not worth it

So I'm leaving today

My bags are packed

I'm ready to go

I'll tell you one more time

My final answer is no

Oh look, there it is

My taxi is here

And now it's time

For me to disappear

I know I loved you once

I know I loved you twice

But we're over now

'Cause I've paid my price

I liked the concept of this piece. The anger and bitterness captured in this piece was something that I could really relate to, and I liked how this poem seemed to grow in strength and emotion as the poem progressed. There seemed to be a real persistence to this piece that I liked, and I thought that this was furthermore expressed with the repetition of several lines. In a way, I kind of wanted you to dig a little deeper to explore this emotionally, but for what it is, it's a pretty solid piece of work. Good job,
