Shades of Me

Small poem that I find expresses my current mood.

The light knew how to live
But the dark only knew death

The white was cheery and joyful
But the black was grim and depressed.


The yang was the good with flaws
But the yin was the sin with a smile.

But I have lost all innocent thoughts
And my happiness is trapped in a vile.

I would have liked to see you continue the format of good and then bad in the last stanza. Maybe change it to

The innocent have innocent thoughts,
But I am not innocent anymore...
