Hopeful Love

I just thought that this would be a nice first poem. I thought it was sweet and short.

Here I sit,

Lost in my wistful thoughts of you,

Longing for you,

Wanting to be near you,

To hear and see you,

But alas,

I cannot,

For we are two worlds away,

And two worlds too is far for one’s love to cross,

For it needs the love of two,

To meet in the middle,

And be whole once again.

This was the first poem I have ever written and genuinely liked, I hope I can get some constructive criticism.
