Thunderstorm

As nature converses with itself

I eavesdrop

Lightening leans in

To the face of the sky and screams

"Light flash!"

Thunder catches up, panting

"Kaboom"

Kitties yowl in terror

When they realize they can't run

The sky cries because it's

Frightened by all the noise

All the while

I sit there and smile
