Voter's sense

Voter's sense

A Poem by Iha

And here we are again
Politician becomes a leader ordain
Businessman also boards the train
Common mwananchi seems to heve all to gain
And forgets the five years of pain
Where every second he had to strain
At least to have a bowl of grain
Every year taxes pushes prices high
Leaving us to starve and our herds to die
"the ordain leader" should be caring or at least try
But they just preach water and get alcohol high
Only good at raising their tone pitch high
But always economical progress shy
Now back again bargaining for another 5yrs tender
Claiming to be our insecurities defender
Proclaiming our needs as their agenda
Mr President and Mr Opposition don't expect me to praise a fish for swimming
Don't forget It's not your money it's my taxes i've been paying
Mr President enough of these PR stunts
Mr Opposition don't slow down your guts
And to know my preference ask the price of ugali flour
You will know who has my family votes
