Sands of Wisdom

Sands of Wisdom

A Poem by Rob Santana

Earth and Moon
Frozen in time
Insomnia fills the eyes
Of lost souls
As death roams high
Silence can be heard
Mystic inspiration
Resides
In the minds of the oracles
Visions of majestic peaks
Clearly seen
Rising sun,
Omens revealed,
A young child
Chosen to journey
Beyond the mystic land
To seek out
The river of visions for answers
Meditating peacefully,
Omen's begin to answer...
Sadness fills the heart
Of the young boy
The omens speak,
"As long as ignorance prevails,
peace will never reign"
The earth
Continues to receive karma
Through bloody arrows,
The winds are weak,
Unable to carry sands of wisdom
Hence we lack
Symbols rich in meaning
The wheel of time
Counts down waves of doom
Clouds of fear
Rape the skies
Blackened
The heavens become
Hope and light
No longer shine through
Hate and lies
Consume the earth
Suspicious voices
Fuel demonic thirst
Giving birth to an uprising curse
That binds mankind
Unable
To release
They're blazing cries
The abyss of fears
Confines they're tears
The invasion
Of anger and frustration
Kept us prisoners
Concealing our peaceful visions
Now we have been
reduced to silence,
Frozen in time
Nothing left but a planet
Filled with misery.....

No one will understand just HOW true these words are... I mean wow. That just sent the poem home, Rob. Truly a truthful write filled with lots of strong emotion, powerful, vivid imagery and wording that hits the reader. One of the best I've read.

Thank you April.
This was like an entire movie, You actually feel the depravity and despair of what the world has come to.
Every innocent soul is that young boy seeking for answers, waiting for change.. I cannot begin to express how genius this poem is. The best part is I didn't even picture it to be written from our planets point of view when I read it.. It just feels like you're a medium, the messenger who resides on the moon, warning us of whats to come. Epic write bro.

Well thank you J.P.
Glad to see you're around and writing. An expansive piece, in style and imagery. Take out the apostrophes unless I am missing something and they need to be there ... yeah, you didn't expect me to review you without noticing that did you? Or did you put them there to call me over, like opening a can ...
