Wishes and Blank Pages

Wishes and Blank Pages

A Poem by Just Another Writer

I think that I
Would like to be one of those
People
Who can so effortlessly
Compose a masterpiece of
Beautiful
Vowels and consonants,
Blending together like the
Sweetest
Mid-Summer honey,
But frankly,
I find myself quite
Enamored
By the simplistic beauty
Of a blank
Page
And very
Penitent
To corrupt it.

"Corrupt it" I think I'm one of those writers. I can never leave a page blank. Interesting write.

Thanks so much for your review!
It so true. Well written. "by the simplistic beauty/of a blank/page" my favorite lines.

Wow, this is so beautiful and accurate. The words melt into me and I find myself completely and utterly helpless to the conflict your poem so eloquently describes.

Ahhhhh I know this exact feeling and I love this and you. My favorite lines are,
"Blending together like the
Sweetest
Mid-Summer honey"
