I looked in a mirror

My hair was long

I cried

I looked in a mirror

My skin was tan

I cried

I looked in a mirror

And knew my reflection would change

I cried again

A few months later

I looked in a mirror

My hair was gone

My skin was paled

I cried

I look into a mirror

My hair is growing back

My skin is turning tan

I smiled

I will look into a mirror

My hair will have grown back

My skin will be tanned

And I will smile again
