PROXIMA b

For one year our radio telescopes picked up broadcasts transmitted from another world. A world 4.3 light years away. Our linguists deciphered their language. And our scientists found a way of getting us there. My partner and I trained extensively, for the twenty-year mission. We were ready to go.

After arriving and orbiting the planet, debris struck and damaged our ship. Descending, we crash-land in a desert.

In and out of consciousness, I heard a cacophony of machinery and voices. And one loud voice, saying, “Clean this up, leave nothing and take these two, to Area 51!”

haha, that's probably the last thing a Human wanted to hear, but I am confused did they make it to the other planet and it was a mirror of Earth? Or did they crash land in Roswell?

Roswell, radio was first broadcast from Earth on 1906, it takes 20 years at light speed to reach PROXIMA b orbiting the star ALPHA CENTAURI. The aliens listened in to our signals for a year travel to Earth another 20. The year on Earth now is 1947, exaxtly 41 years from the first broadcast and it is the year of the crash site in Roswell.

Well this is my first time reading flash fiction. 100 words depicting many things..... Well hard work of 20 years comes to naught.... And hearing aliens talk all the message and stuff sounds like plot and not the first one......
