A Chapter by Scott Christian
"

Existential musings on a writing instrument

"
If this pen could talk--
 of whom, of what, where?
 Would it start from unpackaging
or from the factory line?
  Or from the processing of liquid pigment;
the creation of its home?
Or from the moment the first
  words writ, shortening its life?
                             This pen can talk.
                              Create, destroy.
                                 Live and die.
                              is it human too?

i like the last line of this is wraps up a beautiful comparison of human creation and human actions, which in my mind are pretty much the same thing.

I like this a lot, it was really original and you have a nice writing style.
"This pen can talk.
Create, destroy.
Live and die.
is it human too?" This part was really interesting because of what you were comparing the pen to, and adding the "Is is human too?" part kind of left the reader pondering over it, and it left an aftertaste that the reader won't forget. Nice job on this!
