The Other Side

The Other Side

A Poem by Indigoshadows

To have less fear.
Less worry.
To lose the disappointment
When things don't work out.
Again.
To create our own.
Effortless.
Carefree.
Like a sunny day
With a cool breeze.
That's my wish.
Yet, we live in two worlds.
The chasm of the stadium
And the thousands
Of obstacles in between.
You search for me
Amongst the clamor.
The crossing of worlds,
But a shrinking window--
As I disappear from your reach.

Begins with a wish, ends with a sigh. A nicely worded work here, sparely put and with good imagery. The sadness at the end is a sobering contrast to the hopeful beginning.

Thank you for your review. Definitely a duality here of competing emotions. Thanks again.
