Daffodils

Daffodils

A Poem by The Ink Chapters
"

A little cheer up for spring

"
the hard soil
I worked and kneaded
I filled you with my care
I tended to your aching earth
Put soil and flower there

I spent the year with nothing
I gave up and forgot
Then one day I noticed green
Where once before it rot!

I watered for a few days
Not expecting much at all
Until out sprang the daffodils
Beautiful and tall

It shows just how our patience
And things we try to tend
Can come alive and worth in time
If simply left to mend

A case of reaping the benefits of your hard work. Buried all winter long, out of sight and out of mind till they flowered in spring. Where would we be without daffodils. They herald spring. Nicely penned.
