Expression of Anger

Expression of Anger

A Poem by Mark
"

I have no idea why everything seems to be a cycle for me lately

"
My hand, heavy, strikes the mountain.
Will and soul empower flesh
Thunder bellows down the valley;
I have come.

Anger, jagged and bright,
pours out, and down.
Stricken furrows steam open,
With a yielding; Earth sighs.

Drawing clenched fists
I strike again, then again
The thunder roars, carrying
dissipated by what
Earth absorbs.

From lightning hot
to smoldering red,
anger then turns wet
running from cheek to Earth.

She absorbs these tears
and from death, and the pain
then anger hot and searing white,
finally, the rain reaches seeds,

now nurtured,
and aching to grow.

I love the last two lines. They wrap up the entire poem wonderfully, Mark.

Life is a cycle of the good the bad and the ugly but also of rebirth and renewal. We weather the weather the best we can, we are human we feel and react and then we reevaluate. I wish the path was smoother and less dramatic for so many of us but I fear for most it is more like your poem than not. This was highly emotive and a striking poem on many levels.

If we didn't have the valleys there would be no peaks. Thanks for your thoughtful review. :)
Could be a renewal cycle :) Good choice of song to accompany the rage within but I feel more than rage, I feel insight, new and yearning, a process of growing, awesome x

Thanks Mark :)
WOW...the guitar is enough to make you understand what was going through your mind! But was it the anger that made your seeds want to grow or it that anger was done and now is the chance for seeds to grow?
