Slashed Tires & Patchy Roads

Slashed Tires & Patchy Roads

A Poem by Chemical Kitten

You're just another bump in the road
One I won't pay attention to as I pass
But later I'll look under my car to find
That my tank is leaking gas

I'll patch it up, and drive along
But of course now my car is on fire
I guess it doesn't really matter now
About how you slashed my tires

The fire fighter will spend hours
Trying to comfort me all the same
But soon enough he departs
Leaving me shaking with shame

Another bump, another wreck
Each one has been the same
But every time my car burns
I always strengthen the frame

Wow. This is really good. The second stanza really stood out (in a good way) and the rest easily flowed around it. It's a great, unique idea that I've never seen before. Great job!
