Waiting

You said you'd text me,Im still waiting
I see the clock And it's past the time
I believed you when you promised
You said you'd love to catch up
I'm still waiting and I'm getting tired
Time passes and my phone is silent
You do this every time
I still believe you but it's over this time
Catch me up next time?
No more next time.
Stay where you are cause you are fine.
Talk all you want i won't believe the silly lies.
You said you were working, very busy.
But i see the facts, there's no action.
"I'll make some time, i will be free"
Same trick same reply.
Still nothing from your side.
" wait for me this time"
Like i will.
I'm just gone, left the keys right on the table.
When you come home, i will have gone.
Have fun on your own.
Wait for another girl
Cause for me there's no return.

Now in the day of public online interactions, we can see that someone who told us "he's busy" is actually too busy for US, but not too busy for others. It's too easy for people to hide & pretend, when so many "friends" are not actually "in the flesh"! Your poem sounds like the person who is finding clues but just barely starting to trust him/herself, as far as believing what the clues are telling him/her. So pertinent to real life! lots of creative tension built in your poem .. i like the internal conversation going on .. its very believable ... easy to relate ... i feel for your heroine ... sadly i think she won't stick to her guns .. seems an impossible cycle going on .. maybe she should throw all his things on the lawn to seal the deal ;))) Merry Christmas Intothemilkyway! :)

The tide has turned. This time, no longer prepared to put up with being an after thought or taken for granted. The moment grasped, there is strength in these words and I liked that. Nicely conveyed feelings. Making a stand.
