Feeling Nothing it's ok

Have you ever numbed your feelings?

My heart doesn't tremble like before

when i would read your name

when it popped up in my phone 

No feeling , no connection

Only Wifing through it.

I feel nothing just like if you

would throw a bucket full of ice on me

I would remain with my sight straight

and i would be indifferent to it.

Hmm, nicely written, feeling detached after feeling so full of life once, only happens when one has one's heart broken, it's as if one has lost one's soul, one waits and waits and yet nothing goes back to normal, I can relate! Hope you're doing well and everything's okay.

Sounds like the aftermath of a relationship that went south. Maybe the speaker has indeed numbed all feeling toward the addressee. On the other hand, maybe the words are overstatement masking denial. By the way, what does Wifing mean and why is it capitalized?

Captures exactly the dull indifference that can result from hope deferred and crushed feelings. 'Wifing through it' - a new expression for me and telling. 'the bucket full of ice' made the point well, too.
