Betrayal comes from within.

It took too long for them to notice,

that my soul was gone and 

still there was no justice 

when they finally realized

i thought i'd find peace 

but they didn't care enough.

they were only blindfolded from the truth,

which i wasn't there to say

but who isn't in this world ...so cruel.

Your poem feels a little sad & desperate, as if the narrator is hoping someone in the world will notice. Unfortunately, I find that many times people never notice what we want them to notice, so it's a futile thing to wait around for. You've conveyed all this in a straightforward way, as if the narrator is learning a hard life lesson (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
