Burning fire

Burning fire

A Poem by Ioana Mihai

What is this burning fire inside me
I wish someone to come to set it free
What do I do to throw it all away
It burns my heart, my all in flames of pain….
I raise my eyes upon the sky
I wait for a rain to cool me down,
Along my tears to ease the fire within
To clean and heal my heart entirely.
Sweet and beautiful rain, touch me softly…
Take care not to storm me more,
Because now I am so fragile
Smile to me with a rainbow…
Teach me how to smile again
Dreaming that I can touch the sky
And one day to be the rainbow
That would make someone else to smile...

Oh my goodness. How very sweet and (sensual even? ) these words are. I love this. I've read it 3 times now. 🙂
