The Last Goodbye

Goodbyes are a part of life, But the last Goodbye takes away way too much.

When i leave you after the day's goodbye hug,

I feel hollow  from inside and weak like a slug,

I feel like my soul leaves me to be with you,

Leaves me to spend some more time with you,

Comes back later knowing we'll meet again tomorrow,

But even then it is restless, waiting for tomorrow,

I fear, my soul's gonna leave me forever after the last goodbye,

Coz  only with you, my soul is complete,

Only with you my soul is ready to neglect me and deny.

Goodbyes are never easy and especially if you are saying goodbye to the one you love. That separation can seem like a lifetime. You expressed your feelings well in your poem.
