The Descent

A loud liquid thud,

Dust disturbed.

Battered and bruised.

Cherubim and Seraphim moan.

The Harps in Heaven silenced.

All things happen with reason.

No recollection,

No memory of before.

Dazed and confused.

The veil has closed.

Out of the night sky,

Just like a lightning bolt.

An angel has fallen.

soul wrenching tragedy in reading for me sir...really happy to see you visiting the Cafe' and sharing .. its been a while :) i felt the thud .. smelled the plumbs of dust .. the agonizing cries as angels fell ... oh my soul ... what can we be at all without our Creators grace in life ... :((((((((((

Thank you very much for your words. Time has not allowed for much writing or any poetic pursuits as of recent but enjoying being a Granddad and that is where most of extra time goes. Had a few moments of inspiration this morning.
