The Weather Man

The Weather Man

A Poem by J Todd Underhill

A storm is coming!

A storm is coming!

I can tell you for fact that it is true,

My brain is pounding,

It is astounding,

And the aches all run me through.

A storm is coming!

A storm is coming!

Old man winter is arriving soon,

My knee is smarting,

Having troubles starting,

My own mobility this does impugn.

A storm is coming!

A storm is coming!

And my back is giving me fits.

Soon to be freezing,

For it’s suddenly seizing,

And I am reaching the end of my wits.

A storm is coming!

A storm is coming!

And my body is telling me the tale.

There is no faking,

When my joints are aching,

A storm is coming without fail.

Great to see you back.
An excellent double edged poem. I pray the jet stream details this storm.
