Rebel Flag

The rebel flag is not racist,

And the Civil war was not fought about slavery.

You might be offended when I say this,

If you are upset then learn your history.

The civil was about our country’s direction,

Freeing the slaves was an afterthought.

After my study and careful reflection,

A new country’s identity is what was sought,

Industrial nation or agriculture,

Which way would be best for our populace,

Our nation’s bird could be a turkey or vulture,

Could be now as well with our godlessness.

Flags the same as opinions are not divine

And only hold the power that you assign.
