A short Au Revoir from love

A short Au Revoir from love

A Poem by J.A.Bentley
"

A short poem after many many months of placing dust on my mind.

"
Umm what to say
What dare you think
The silence between us
Slowly turning, churning
Down the drain of a sink
Better think of something
Like butter on a hot knife
No no I said what I meant
But I really meant
Was to think of something quick
so know what not now means
Let us nod silently, knowingly
That will be back here again, soon
And let us part with peace.
But wink when you turn to look back
When our eyes meet
As to mean
That you'll dream of me
