not a simple good bye

not a simple good bye

A Poem by J.Arthur.B

Can’t see the way I leave

You said you’ll miss me a lot

I, breakable over your bed

making a mess over what I’ve been taken care for so long

off shore

I'm going to clean the mirror

spare the thrill under your hips

can't say chocolate anymore

can't drink wine

there’s the cup that tears your lips

save the name you made

a mold under your hands

over what we learned,

                                      patiently

I’m now what you’ve done

There’s were I went trying to find your meaning

the hand you would like to hold

              with my ears blinded

            you asked me not to...

           way out over my head

I even heard your final shiver

                    no parachute behind

proud over us

I’m barely saying, I’m leaving

breakable over your bed

you said you’ll miss me a lot

These types of goodbyes are never simple. Your poem shows that very well.
