The Mystery of Change

The Mystery of Change

A Poem by Julio Cesar Ruiz
"

When I wrote this I based it off of my father, who at the time was my hero. He was so strong and never gave up. He always tried to give us everything we wanted. But that only made it hurt more when he left us.

"

I always thought I'd change for the better,

but then I found out that I'd be myself forever,

most people are afraid of change,

they are afraid to go the distance,

to challenge any range.

The fear of the unkown,

is something well known,

for it is why people don't change,

but there are those who prevail,

and make sure they never fail.

That is why I never changed,

even though I have resistance,

I have already gone the distance.

I humbly beg to differ. I think you have a long ways to go until you actually hit your distance. My arguement is that your in the pre-prime of your life.If you've hit your distance already...more people are going to pass you up as you get older. Therefore your content with your distance now but have miles to go.I liked the poem itsself though I just philosophical at the moment
