Light-ly Seasoned Limericks

Light-ly Seasoned Limericks

A Poem by JE Falcon
"

Four Limericks; not funny but written on the lighter side. :)

"

Wispy is the light under trees

but seldom noticed by the birds and the Bees.

But I see them all,

as they hear shadows call

then are altered by the slightest breeze.

(JE Falcon --- 12-10-2021)

As the sun sets into the sea

We find a place lighter than we.

Then we talk for a while,

and you give me a smile

As we watch the sunset into the sea.

(JE Falcon --- 12-10-2021)

Warm on my face in the morning

But noon it comes without warning

Baked like meat

in the summer's heat

But so warm on my face on a frigid morning.

(JE Falcon --- 12-10-2021)

Rainbow are a bit of a sticky wicket

and Sunbeams often get lost in a thicket.

But shadows, my friend,

are those that trend

and are right at home in that thicket.

I think limericks have 5 lines with a AABBA rhyme scheme, the A's having 7-9 syllables the B's 5-7, but I could be wrong :)

in less than an hour
his arse was a flower
and his balls were covered in weeds

These were wonderful limericks JE. I especially enjoyed the first two. I don't think I have ever written a limerick myself as of yet. I'm definitely going to have to try my hand at one sometime in the future.

Thanks Carlos, it's not easy making them all funny.
