The Good Shepherd

The Good Shepherd

A Poem by John Carver

Good Shepherd be with me as I write this way

Bless me my works as I build up the Church

That my words like yours may hold the same kind of sway

And make sure that your name I don't besmirch

You are bringing many children to me to save

Therefore I have written their names in my book of Life

Because.of that opportunity I gave

That exists not without any strife

Heal them the ways of their past tribulations

That they may have peace in heaven not bitterness' sting

Which disqualifies them and brings resolutions

Like a bride and groom are bound by a wedding ring

They are welcome for they called out to my name

They will be with me in my Kingdom all the same.
