The Mask

The Mask

A Poem by Kim
"

It's not always easy to see who a person really is...

"
Break the Mask, warning sign
Find the one behind

Biting eyes, shallow mind
Bring the cracks to light

Hungry mouth, reddish tooth
Look behind the youth

Iron shell, defensive haze
Ignore the second face

Dripping fangs, nothing kind
Find the one behind

i like this because it is honest, real and well written. we do wear masks. the trick is to peek behind theirs and let them peek behind ours. very good ... :)

Thank you ^^ Glad you liked it :D
Sometimes it feels like there is a never ending line f masks, waiting to be revealed, or slip when we least expect. It is getting to a stage now that the wearer has difficulty telling if it is a mask or their real face, through wearing them so long. We can but hope that we find the one that fits us best and hope no one notices the crease where it meets our skin. Wonderful write, fitting a lot into so few words. Thank you for sharing.
